This is Timpanogos temple wedding that won’t soon be forgotten. I love shooting weddings at the mount timpanogous temple.  If you are a Mormon looking at temples for your temple wedding I would highly suggest you consider getting married at the Timpanogous temple.  The Mount timpanogos temple makes for beautiful wedding photos.  A Timpanogos temple wedding will not disapoint and give an Utah bride and groom magic like wedding photos.  I love being a Utah wedding photographer, I love attending timpanogos temple weddings.  I love wedding photography in general.  I love how whimsical this couple was and how it fit perfectly with their timpanogos temple wedding.  I live in Salt Lake City, but it’s worth going to Utah county for this timpanogos temple wedding.  I’m trying to get this to 300 words about this timpanogos temple wedding.  Don’t hate on me haters about this Mount timpanogos temple wedding.  I love being a Utah wedding photographer.  Maybe I should have named this blog entry Utah wedding photographer shoots a timpanogos temple wedding. I think that seems long.  Or is naming this timpanogos temple wedding shot by a utah wedding photographer better?  What I like best about Timpanogos temple weddings is that you don’t have to walk that far to get really pretty angles of this temple.  The Mount timpanogos temple I like to photograph it from the south east side.  It’s really pretty for wedding photos there.  You can see the whole temple and it’ makes a perfect back drop for the bride and groom.  Even on this really sunny day in Utah we still rocked really pretty photos at the timpanogos temple.

Wedding at the Draper Temple

Ashley and Chase had a beautiful wedding at the Draper Temple.  I love the Draper temple, even though it is windy from time to time!  It’s a beautiful place to take wedding photos and celebrate a lds wedding!

Fun sweet story about the couple:

I guess one fun fact is that Chase comes from a family of all brothers, and I come from a family of all sisters.  We have already had plenty of our “Wait, men/women actually care about/do/think/say/smell like that?” moments, and I’m sure we will enjoy our fair share of them in the future. This brings to my mind the time when Chase first bought me flowers.  Chase hadn’t really done the whole flower thing before me.  So one day, he showed up
to pick me up at the airport with the most wilted, florescent-orange daises you have ever seen. Poor Chase was oblivious to the facts that they were (1) ugly and (2) dead. You would have thought he had two-dozen, perfect roses in his hands, he was so proud of himself. He explained all he had done to buy these flowers the night before and to care for them since then.  As he explained his attempt to give me the perfect flowers, I knew how much he loved me and wanted to make me happy, and I felt like the luckiest woman in the world. I will always cherish that memory of a grinning Chase standing in the airport, holding a big sign and those wilted, orange flowers. I have since trained him, and he is now infinitely better at buying and caring for flowers.  But I doubt I’ll ever love a bouquet of flowers more than I love those wilted, orange daisies.

Salt Lake City Wedding Photographer

I love being a Salt Lake City Wedding photographer.  I would love to shoot your wedding at the Salt Lake City temple.

I know it’s been shot a million gazillion times (and that was just last Saturday) but I absolutely love the Salt Lake City Temple.  Even after all the weddings I have photographed there I still love it the best.  When you get a bride that is really exited to work with you, like Kimmy was, it makes it that much better.  Seeing young is always such a refreshing part of my job.  Kimmy had given me plenty of time for photos.  It makes it so nice to have a lot of time when photographing the Salt Lake City temple, mostly because the grounds are so large and its fun to go to less photographed places on Temple Square.  Walking from one place to another at the Salt Lake City temple can eat up a lot of your time.  Loved spending the day with these two!  Here are some fun facts about them.

How he proposed:

Devin proposed on our 6 month anniversary on December 6th, 2014–at a beautiful overlook behind the Laie Temple.  (Oh, he just proposed in Hawaii by a beautiful temple that looked like a castle…no biggie–girl you need to learn to exaggerate!  We want the juicy details of your one of a kind engagement!)

Cassidy and Scott’s wedding was so stunning!  I loved meeting up with them at their hotel at Grand America for getting ready photos.  The sweet little White Chapel made for a perfect little wedding!  Eating and rocking out at the Joesph Smith Memorial building was a great way to spend the night.  So happy for these two love birds!weddubg photographer shoots wedding in downtown salt lake city and in the white chapelI love me so fun wedding photos in downtown salt lake city. the love the couple the salt lake city lights! I LOVE LOVE LOVE when couples share cute stories with me about how they meet.  Here is a sweet but fun story about how Cristina and Mike meet.  I hope you have as much fun reading it as I did!  Oh, and then you need to check out the super cute photos of them on their wedding day at the Bountiful Temple!  So stinking cute with the two lovees and all the pink blossoms in the trees!  LOVE Bountiful Temple in the springtime!  Anyway, here is Cristina and Mike’s fun story!

We met through mutual friends at a BBQ. It was a bring your own meat, but I didn’t bring anything because I had already eaten. But once I started smelling everyone’s food I started getting really hungry. So I begun asking people for little pieces of their food. Most of them were guys and they are acted like it was a horrible thing I had asked for a piece of their precious food. But then I asked Mike, whom I had just met. He not only gave me a big chunk of his steak (the best tasting one by the way), but he brought me utensils and a cup of water. That’s why I feel in love with him because of his stake grilling skills and his kind heart 🙂

Utah Bride and Groom

Utah Bride and Groom:  This warm weather in February is really making me miss shooting Utah brides and grooms in the springtime!  I am seriously getting cabin fever!  I would love to get out and shoot in a meadow of blooming wild flowers! This bride and groom wanted to take some wedding photos at this is place historic park and then add on a second location at the Great Salt Lake’s State park Saltair.  I love shooting at both locations.  They fit this bride and groom perfectly!  Here is there story if you missed it when I posted their wedding photos. Here is the couples story!

I think our best couple claim to fame is Micah’s awesome proposal. My favorite holiday is Halloween, like, I’m obsessed with it. I thought micah might want to propose on Halloween so I kinda expected it. He ask me a few months before if he could lie to me for the sake of me not finding out about the proposal, and from then on he lied a lot I guess I’m pretty good at finding stuff out so he pulled out all the stops so I would have no idea. He faked a business trip to California, even sent me fake pictures, he made my roommate and friend lie to me about having free tickets to fear factory in salt lake. It was great. My roommate and I got “VIP” passes to skip the line and go through the haunted house together. It was awesome, and near the end there was a haunted carnival with a bunch of clowns running around. A fortune teller came up to me and said my name and led me into a dark corner. I was kinda freaked out wondering how they knew my name, if this was micah’s doing, what was happening. I dismissed the thought of a proposal because I thought micah was out of state on a business trip. The rest is kind of a blur but I remember one clown asking me all these personal questions and then from the back of the crowd of clowns micah came out, took off his mask, got down on one knee and proposed amid the chainsaws and screams of the haunted house. It might have been weird to anyone else but it was more than I could have ever dreamed. So much fun and so creative! He got someone to take pictures of the whole thing it was awesome!

Wedding Grand America Hotel

Wedding Grand America Hotel: This wedding at Grand America Hotel was one of my favorite weddings this past year.  It was so lovely and beautiful!  Truly one of the grandest hotels Salt Lake City has to offer.  It is a perfect setting for an extra fancy wedding!  I loved all the details of this great wedding including the amazing ice sculpture.  I can’t wait until I can photographer another Wedding at Grand America Hotel.  Here is more of the couples love story and how they met!

In Lisa’s own words, “Our adventure began one fateful night, August 8th 2009. We both ended up at a house warming party, one that Kasey had been invited to but was almost too shy to go and that Lisa hadn’t been invited to but wasn’t about to let that stop her from tagging along with her Best Man, Dee.

Not long into the party Kasey saw Lisa from across the crowd and had to approach, but wasn’t sure just what to say… A first impression is so important, he had to say something brilliant! He eventually decided on, “Can you hand me a jello shot? The blue one, because I’ve always wanted to be a smurf but they tell me I’m too tall.”

This was by far the most ridiculous and cheesy thing Lisa had ever heard, and she instantly fell for him. She tried to play it cool, sticking close to Dee and trying to hide her interest. However, Dee quickly put an end to that by proclaiming that he had never seen Lisa fall for someone as hard or as quickly as she just had for Kasey. And that was it, all of the cards on the table.

Since that moment, the two of them have rarely been apart and plan to live that way for the rest of their lives. ”

Red Butte Gardens Wedding

They were married outside at Red Butte Gardens.  I’m so love that venue, it’s just breathtaking for weddings! Located just outside of Salt Lake City it is truly a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos.  It fit Tonya’s personality perfectly.  Elegant but also laid back and fun.  Here is a little bit about how Frank proposed.  I think it is so  much fun to learn about my couples and their stories!

We got engaged in Hawaii.  I had no idea that Frank had snuck a ring along. The entire trip he was paranoid that it would get lost or stolen. He had planned to propose part way through the trip, but I ended up getting really sick with the flu, all of it, runny nose, sneezing, cough, fever, and aches.  So Frank spent the majority of the trip trying to stay as far away from me as possible.  Luckily I did start to feel better towards the end of the trip, so he took the opportunity to propose on the last day before we headed out.  It was simple but sweet, and I was so surprised and happy.  Even though I was sick it ended up being a wonderful trip.

Salt Lake City Wedding

So I’ve decided to do something new on my blog and let my couples tell you about themselves.  It also helps me to get to know them so much better before their weddings!  I love hearing about my couples love stories!
Reed’s Version: Brook is truly the love of my life.  I was so fortunate to be golfing and have her father join us as a solo golfer.  I am sure it was my good looks and charm that won him over that day. I know it was not my golfing! towards the end of the round he gave me his daughters phone number and explained how wonderful and amazing she was. He told me to look her up on the internet and I would see this for myself. I did just that and WOW! she was all that and more. I was a bit nervous but one morning at 7:13 in the morning I felt the urge to text her. We planned a date and then I saw her at a birthday party where I was immediately taken in by her beauty and her wonderful smile. I followed her all around that party just to have many opportunities to talk with her. I left happy knowing I was going on a date with her soon. The date was so much FUN. it led to another then another and by the 3rd date I Kissed her. Woot woot. Brook you are an amazing kisser and I love you soooo much. I know you will change this so that we have something good to send in but remember I LOVE YOU FOREVER. I am so excited to marry you and be your husband. MINE

My dad is an avid golfer and has long been joking about arranged marriage as a great idea.  One day golf and arranged marriage collided.  My dad was playing his front 18 holes on the golf course one morning–most players designate their “front 9 holes” or their “back 9,” but my dad was playing his morning “front 18” to be followed by a “back 18” with his friends.  This first round of golf was his warm up round and so he went by himself and was placed with two other men for the round. My soon-to-be husband’s friend had a BYU logo on his golf bag which lead to sporting, religious, and eventually life circumstances conversation.  My dad learned that my soon-to-be husband was divorced and his wing man sold him on his many (many) great qualities.  Reed is a man of character, honor, integrity, spirituality, passion, intelligence, education, and hard work. And, he chose a good wing man that day to brag on his behalf so my dad came to understand these qualities quickly.  By about the 16th hole, my dad had all but given his blessing and my phone number to Reed, unbeknownst to me.  I received a text from my dad informing me of this and a week later I finally heard from Reed.  Luckily we had many friends in common who gave me great report, otherwise, Reed and I may have never met.  Because he is such a great guy, many people were attempting to line him up.  We are giving my dad credit for an arranged marriage, and Reed has found a way to legitimize golf forever since it lead to our eternal love story.  I am a happy woman, indeed!
