Lanie and Matt Married! Red Butte Garden

This was my first wedding at Red Butte Gardens and I was so excited!  Especially since Matt and Lanie are such a fun couple!  And Red Butte Garden’s really is extremely beautiful!  It was a beautiful day for photos.  I was a little worried about the weather but things couldn’t have turned out better.    We even set up the photo booth and got some awesome photos with it.  Thanks to Katie and my husband.  Katie took the photos and Jon did the printing.  I love how Lanie used peacock feathers throughout her whole theme.   It looked awesome.  My favorite detail of hers ended up being the grooms cake.  Somehow they made it look just like an empty bottle of Jack Daniels.  I don’t personally drink, but my years of working the old west photo gallery in high school have taught me to appreciate the importance of Jack Daniels.   It was pretty sweet.

coolest grooms cake ever!

the wedding cake wasn’t too shabby either!  I love the feathers!

My hubby took the two photos up above.  Isn’t he good?!  I love the expressions he got!

Lanie and Matt’s wedding party rocked the photo booth!  Isn’t the frame cute?  My mom totally found that for me at a garage sale.  Go mom!

That’s all folks!

  • Beckster.... it's actually JACK Daniels, not Jake. Hee hee hee hee hee That cake is awesome! Looks like you guys had a good time!

I'm actually not so naive that I don't know it's "Jack" Daniels. I'm dyslexic and I honestly have the toughest time differentiating between "Jack" and "Jake," even verbally. Weird I know, but seriously true. Thanks for catching it!

  • lol I thought that might be it too! Sometimes I'll be typing a word whose beginning sounds like another word... and I'll just write the other word instead, without even noticing. Like where instead of what. lol

i was wondering where they got there photobooth at?

I did it. When Lanie ordered, it could be added on to most of my packages. Because Jon, my husband, has to be there and his schedule is crazy we took it off the packages. I still get referrals who ask for them. If it works with our schedule, is on a Saturday, and is added on to one of our high end packages...there is a chance we miiiiight do it. With enough begging. :) Also it's a little ad hoc since it's our own creative take on a photo booth. We need the couples to be forgiving if we run into technical hiccups throughout the night. These usually only happen on the printing end. I've seen some photographers run a photo booth and not print strips. That would be a cinch. If anybody wants that it would be no problem. But aren't the little printed photo strips so cute?!
