It’s true sometimes I browse ksl.com for old wedding dresses. I like to look at different locations that girls in the valley have had their wedding photos taken. I like to dream about what I would choose now as my wedding dress. Then I found the one, the one I would choose. Okay, so I have seen the dress before. I photographed it on the lovely Kim. I have always admired Kim’s style! I look back and wish we where still roommates so that I could borrow her clothes again! So if there is any girl out there looking for an amazing wedding dress–this is it! It was custom made and I would love to photograph it again! You might have already seen these photos on utahbrideandgroom.com in May. But I’ve been so busy they never made it to my blog. And I would love to show off her beautiful wedding at some point too, but I thought I should post her groomals first. PS. If you leave a comment I can send you all the info you need about the dress.

Love was in the air! I love it when couples are so comfortable with each other that it’s really easy for them to be themselves in front of the camera. Callie and Parker where especially great at doing this. It was fun to go play around with them in fields and orchards! I love my job!
Bridget and Dan are so much fun! Dan is like a big fun teddy bear, seriously he is one of the nicest grooms I’ve met! Bridget is so pretty and feminine. I think they are just so beautiful together. And I just adore Red Butte Gardens as a wedding venue. Not only is it beautiful but it has a laid back kind of feel that I just love. I can’t wait for the fun that this couple has in store for me. The wedding is going to be lovely! I know because Rebecca from Wedding Expectations is helping to plan the whole event. So excited!
I can’t say enough rad things about this couple and their wedding! Everything just came together perfectly. The rain had us worried by it faded away into gorgeous light! Salt Lake City temple in the spring is one of the prettiest places. The flowers where out and everything turned out perfect. I love that Emily chose white, yellow and green as her spring colors. And the way she used lemons and limes with her cake just tied everything together. Her hair was looking gorgeous and the dress was jaw dropping! Take a look and see for yourself!
It’s really exciting! My wedding dates for July and August have mostly to filled up. As such, I have had to tweak my packages for any last minute wedding bookings. I simply don’t have the time to take engagement and bridal photos for late summer weddings, but I have a limited number of dates available for wedding-day only coverage.
If you need engagement or bridal photos, one hour of coverage can be purchased as an add-on for $300, and I am available to shoot engagement and bridal photos only on weekday mornings before 9:00 AM. If getting out of bed at 5:30 for sunrise photos isn’t your idea of a great time, I will be happy to refer you to some friends in my photographer rolodex who might be available to take engagement or bridal photos at a more convenient time.
For anyone who has already contacted me and asked about my packages, don’t worry, our traditional packages are still available to you. For anyone who hasn’t contacted me yet, act fast, many dates are already filled and others are filling up fast.
If your wedding happens after August 31, 2010, please refer to our regular wedding package prices.
Here’s the deal:
$1000 LATE SUMMER-LAST MINUTE PACKAGE wedding day
6 hours of coverage on wedding day
2 locations on wedding day
online proofing for 9 months
high resolution images on DVD
photoshop edits
30 total client-selected edits
(clients may expect 50-100 images per hour on their DVD)
For weddings that happen before August 31, 2010, bridal and engagement photos are only available by special request. A one-hour session is $300 and photos may only be taken in the morning before 9:00 AM on weekdays. Albums may be purchased a la carte.
Here’s a sneak peak from a wedding I shot Saturday. 🙂
This was my first wedding at Red Butte Gardens and I was so excited! Especially since Matt and Lanie are such a fun couple! And Red Butte Garden’s really is extremely beautiful! It was a beautiful day for photos. I was a little worried about the weather but things couldn’t have turned out better. We even set up the photo booth and got some awesome photos with it. Thanks to Katie and my husband. Katie took the photos and Jon did the printing. I love how Lanie used peacock feathers throughout her whole theme. It looked awesome. My favorite detail of hers ended up being the grooms cake. Somehow they made it look just like an empty bottle of Jack Daniels. I don’t personally drink, but my years of working the old west photo gallery in high school have taught me to appreciate the importance of Jack Daniels. It was pretty sweet.
coolest grooms cake ever!
the wedding cake wasn’t too shabby either! I love the feathers!
My hubby took the two photos up above. Isn’t he good?! I love the expressions he got!
Lanie and Matt’s wedding party rocked the photo booth! Isn’t the frame cute? My mom totally found that for me at a garage sale. Go mom!
Isn’t this such a cute couple! Sami Jo you are so awesome for referring Tori and Rob to me! I wish I had time to post more, but this weekend is going to be killer with two back to back weddings. Which wouldn’t be so bad if they where in the same state! Anyway, I loved this shoot! And yes part of it totally took place in a random front yard, but we did get permission. I just thought the flowers were too perfect to pass up.
