The FAUX-to-booth is on Indefinite Hiatus

My husband Jon is the genius behind the technical workings of our FAUX-to-booth and he won’t be around to run it this summer, so we are not booking any more photo booths into the foreseeable future.   Don’t worry, anyone who signed up for a photo booth at the time of their booking will still get that service, but we are not booking any new photo booths for new or existing clients.  We have loved doing the photo booth.  It gets great pictures, and it really helped to put us on the map.  That said, it’s too difficult for anyone but my techno-genius husband to operate and it’s too costly to run.  Thanks to everyone who has booked the photo booth in the past!  Thank you for helping to make Ravenberg Photography a success.

Everything else at Ravenberg Photography is business-as-usual.  We are still taking wedding bookings for late summer and beyond, and for a handful of selected dates April through June.  Write me or even check out our proofing site to see if your date has been booked with another wedding.  Peace-out photo booth!

Engagement photos out at Saltair.

Here are some more of Lanie’s engagement shoot out at Saltair.  They were awesome enough to do a early morning shoot with me.  I was surprised how fast the sun rises!  But the weather was awesome and we got some killer photos.  I can also say that this couple is so much fun.  I was a little sad Matt cut off his hair before the shoot, but he still looked awesome.  Lanie is so down to earth yet so much fun.  I wish I could make her take me shopping or have her give me a make over.  She just got a job with an awesome make up company–I was so jealous with all the fringe benefits she gets.  I can’t wait for their wedding at Red Butte Gardens!

Yuck, I’m glad I wasn’t in heels, sorry Lanie!

Mount Timpanogos Temple wedding with reception at The Point!

I have about three weddings I consider my first wedding.  I know that sounds crazy that maybe only one wedding could be my first…but I just can’t see it that way.  But the first time I was ever asked to bring my camera to photograph a wedding was at this Temple.  It was a disaster.  It was a neighbor of my sister and they couldn’t afford a photographer and as a result they had 50 wannabe photographers trying to take control of the situation.  It was pure chaos!  I was eighteen at the time and I swore I wouldn’t ever touch wedding photography with a ten foot pole.

It was a little bit daunting to shoot at this location again, but it’s amazing how several more years behind the camera can make all the difference!  My brides now trust me and so do their guests.  It’s so nice to see my clients relax in front of the lens and have full confidence in my photography.  Ashley and Ian are so much fun to photograph.  Every time I see Ashley behind the lens, I think, wow, she looks amazing.  You could tell how proud her family was to see her happy and having a wonderful time on her big day.  I was so glad to be a part of such a joyous celebration.  With a little bit more education and years learning my camera wedding photography has become simple for me and I love it!

Another sneak peek. Engagements at an awesome old hotel.

It was so much fun to finally get to photograph Chelsey!  She wanted something different and had the idea to do her engagement photos in an old hotel.  It took some research but I found one that delivered everything that she wanted.  I love finding new locations and having fun couples that are excited for the challenge.  I  can’t wait to show you the rest of the photos we shot here.  We even sneaked in a couple rides on the luggage  cart.  Oh, I’m a wild photographer…

My Last two days have looked something like this. Utah Wedding Photographer

Here are a couple of photos from my last two days.  It’s spring and wedding season is in full bloom.  I have to say it was awesome to get up early and do an engagement shoot out at Saltair.  Not every couple is willing to get up that early to shoot photos.  Daylight savings wasn’t helping any with the early time!  Today was an incredible day for a wedding.  I have grown to love Ashley so much!  I loved being a part of her and Ian’s big day.  It was such beautiful weather today.  Last week’s snow had me worried about the weather, but it was simply lovely!
