It was a raining day but it turned out beautifully! Thank you Latter Day Bride for publishing Carson and Orrin’s Draper Temple wedding! I love how creative Carson was with so many of her wedding details. Her guest favors where some of my favorite from the last year. She did the state flowers from her and Orrin’s hometowns and then gave the seed packets to guests to symbolize their love growing together. Just too cute! Also the broach on her bouquet was the one piece of jewelry that her grandmother left her. I love when there is back story like that. So many great photos I hope you enjoy!
Here’s the vendor list.
-bridal party attire – up to the person (dresses were in khaki and tan colors with gold or tan shoes), groomsmen were left to their own style as well, more blues and khakis as well as greys) – Orrin was in a grey suit from Indochino – seaglass cufflinks from etsy.com
-florist – Blossom Sweet (Melissa Nickle)
-catering was done by Marvellous Catering Co (we wanted a home cooking, southern, outdoor feel…gourmet burgers, potatoes, mini pies, pulled pork) it was perfect
-best part of the evening was seeing everything come together 🙂 everyone worked so hard in putting the centerpieces and vignettes together and it looked better than what I had imagined – it was the perfect evening and best party ever with my family and close friends
-special details – the wood pieces that Orrin’s grandfather had cut down from cedar in Arizona made the centerpieces, the whole look and feel was rustic and natural, the perfectly place wood pieces and the succulents made the backdrop complete for the little accessories
-cake was done by Cakes By Dawna – flowers were put on by Blossom Sweet
-event designer/planner – my mom and I planned it all 🙂 from the table linens, to the accessories, the candles, the vases, the pictures…she was in Indiana and I was out here in Utah and I am so glad it all came together (Wadley Farms assisted with the setup of all the tables)
-Hair – Hannah Carr (Jenna’s cousin – Jenna was the bridesmaid with the white tulips and the white/cream shoes, dark brown hair) Makeup – Jen Gulbrandsen (Jenna’s brother’s girlfriend)
-Decor – my mom found vases from thrift shops, wood pieces all cut from Orrin’s Grandfather in Arizona, all other accessories were found at thrift shops as well by my mom and myself
-favors – I really wanted to keep with the nature them, since that is me and Orrin, I also wanted to bring the Indiana/California aspect together, so what better way than state flowers!! I came across seed packets that were a hybrid of a peony and poppy…peony – state flower of Indiana and poppy – state flower of California, perfect combination! my mom made the wood sign that explained them a bit more
Wow...Becky, you're amazing! Congrats on being published...woot woot! So...that reception center...Wadley Farms is literally around the corner from my house...we've really got to get together soon!
