All of these following photos were taken with my old point and shoot camera!
I totally put my camera in a plastic bag and shot up from the water. It doesn’t make for really sharp images but it’s still pretty cool!
You can see proof of the point and shoot in the ornament!
Seriously the macro mode is awesome! I did not crop the baby binky photo at all!
Love fill flash with the point and shoot! Who knew using a flash in the middle of the day could make for great photos!
Yes Mary’s hair looks like this all the time! It’s all part of being beautiful!
A few other tips I learned.
–your point and shoot actually has to focus. This is part of the reason why it takes so freaking long to take a photo…and why that smile your child just made is not captured. So make sure you push the button down half way to focus and then make your baby laugh.
–there is a landscape mode and a portiat mode. Basically portrait mode has a shallower depth of field and landscape mode is meant to have more in focus. I thought this was handy to know
–There are also modes for fireworks and other cool things. Read your manual and find out more about your camera!
Beautiful Bountiful Wedding With an Amazing Cultural Hall Reception
This wedding was elegantly simple. The whole family was involved working together to give Erin and Collin the perfect day. Sometimes in the wedding business it’s easy to get caught up with big extravagant weddings and over look smaller less elaborate events. A temple wedding with a cultural hall wedding has been cliched as blah. This wedding is anything but that. It is amazing! I loved seeing the family come together and each chip in making items for the wedding. I see so much of my own culture in this wedding and I think it’s a great representation of what beauty can be created when Utah ingenuity and resourcefulness come together. I know that my family would never pay for a big venue and expensive flowers, but a part of me smiles to think that even I could afford to have a wedding as beautiful as Erin’s. It’s about time for a whole wedding post! My two kiddos take up so much of my time that it’s hard to post complete wedding post. I loved shooting this Salt Lake Temple wedding. There was a crisp fall breeze and plenty of love in the air. A completely talented couple that performed musically and even did a flash mob for each other. I was floored by their talent. This was so cute the bride surpised the groom with a flash mob dance to song I Want to Marry You. The whole bridal party was in on it!

I absolutely loved watching them interact all day and getting to spend some behind the scenes time with them.
