I had the funnest time last Saturday with these two! After the craziness that is a family of six I enjoy getting out and remembering the bliss that is young love. Matthew is so kind to Jordan. The way he treats her, looks at her, holds her it is clear that she means so much to him. I’ve known Jordan since I photographed her sisters wedding a few years ago and I’m so happy for her to find her missing piece. I can’t wait for their wedding in May!!! I am totally loving each and every inch of this cute fall wedding at the Salt Lake City Temple! The autumn leaves where out and perfect for this fall themed wedding. I loved the bright reds and yellows the bride chose for her colors. They went perfectly with the deep reds and rich golds of the Empire Room at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was like a fairy tale coming true. I’m so very happy for the two little love birds! There is something about a gorgeous couple, dressed in their best in a romantic atmosphere that makes photography so much fun! The Utah State Capitol is filled with an essence of history and romance. I love photographing their in the beautiful window light. And like I mentioned earlier having a fun and beautiful couple is just the cherry on the top of an already yummy photo shot! Yep that was pretty cheesy–but it came from the heart all the same!

Beautiful Bountiful Wedding With an Amazing Cultural Hall Reception

This wedding was elegantly simple. The whole family was involved working together to give Erin and Collin the perfect day. Sometimes in the wedding business it’s easy to get caught up with big extravagant weddings and over look smaller less elaborate events. A temple wedding with a cultural hall wedding has been cliched as blah. This wedding is anything but that. It is amazing! I loved seeing the family come together and each chip in making items for the wedding. I see so much of my own culture in this wedding and I think it’s a great representation of what beauty can be created when Utah ingenuity and resourcefulness come together. I know that my family would never pay for a big venue and expensive flowers, but a part of me smiles to think that even I could afford to have a wedding as beautiful as Erin’s. When it’s not raining it Utah it’s beautiful! And what better way to spend a gorgeous afternoon than cuddling with your love in the flowers or dancing on the roof tops! Photographing them wasn’t bad either! We had so much fun!

The family of this bride was so much to fun to work with. Her mom was the biggest sweetheart and her brother-in-law was hilarious. And she did have an extremely funny uncle. I know everybody has a very fun exuberant uncle–but Caitlin’s was a good sport and fun! You can kinda see how much fun they were to photograph while they danced! I LOVE my job. Where else can you make a living dancing with a camera? Take a look at all the fun pictures we were able to get at the Bountiful Temple and at the Wight House Reception Center.
