Thanksgiving Point Bridals: A romantic bridal session is one of my favorite kind of photography session. I love getting to know the bride, and this time the groom. It’s great to have the groom come along! I get to see the couple together and see how they interact! This couple is so sweet. And I might add that Daniel is one great golf cart driver! The grounds at Thanksgiving point are huge.–HUGE! I tell you! So it’s fun to zip and zoom around the gardens with a groom who really knows how to use one. This cute couple just got married so I can finally share their formals. So pretty!

Utah Bride and Groom: This warm weather in February is really making me miss shooting Utah brides and grooms in the springtime! I am seriously getting cabin fever! I would love to get out and shoot in a meadow of blooming wild flowers! This bride and groom wanted to take some wedding photos at this is place historic park and then add on a second location at the Great Salt Lake’s State park Saltair. I think our best couple claim to fame is Micah’s awesome proposal. My favorite holiday is Halloween, like, I’m obsessed with it. I thought micah might want to propose on Halloween so I kinda expected it. He ask me a few months before if he could lie to me for the sake of me not finding out about the proposal, and from then on he lied a lot I guess I’m pretty good at finding stuff out so he pulled out all the stops so I would have no idea. He faked a business trip to California, even sent me fake pictures, he made my roommate and friend lie to me about having free tickets to fear factory in salt lake. It was great. My roommate and I got “VIP” passes to skip the line and go through the haunted house together. It was awesome, and near the end there was a haunted carnival with a bunch of clowns running around. A fortune teller came up to me and said my name and led me into a dark corner. I was kinda freaked out wondering how they knew my name, if this was micah’s doing, what was happening. I dismissed the thought of a proposal because I thought micah was out of state on a business trip. The rest is kind of a blur but I remember one clown asking me all these personal questions and then from the back of the crowd of clowns micah came out, took off his mask, got down on one knee and proposed amid the chainsaws and screams of the haunted house. It might have been weird to anyone else but it was more than I could have ever dreamed. So much fun and so creative! He got someone to take pictures of the whole thing it was awesome!

Utah bridal photos: Bridal photos are some of my favorite to take. A little test run of how beautiful a bride will be on her wedding day. Utah is home to so many beautiful and scenic photo locations. We decided to take Jordan’s bridals out at Saltair. Saltair is a great place for any Utah bridal photos. The long reeds or the shores of the Great Salt Lake make for amazing views that complement any bride. I also just love Jordan’s headpiece. It was the perfect compliment to her stunning wedding dress. All together the perfect picture of a bride! I love photographing out at Saltair. Sometimes Saltair is buggy and stinky but it always makes for great wedding photography. I love that Jordan just did her Utah bridal photos by herself without the groom. Utah bridal photos can be such a bonding experience for a mom and the bride. Saltair was so much fun and so pretty. Saltair can look just like the beach!

They were married outside at Red Butte Gardens. I’m so love that venue, it’s just breathtaking for weddings! Located just outside of Salt Lake City it is truly a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos. It fit Tonya’s personality perfectly. Elegant but also laid back and fun. Here is a little bit about how Frank proposed. I think it is so much fun to learn about my couples and their stories!
We got engaged in Hawaii. I had no idea that Frank had snuck a ring along. The entire trip he was paranoid that it would get lost or stolen. He had planned to propose part way through the trip, but I ended up getting really sick with the flu, all of it, runny nose, sneezing, cough, fever, and aches. So Frank spent the majority of the trip trying to stay as far away from me as possible. Luckily I did start to feel better towards the end of the trip, so he took the opportunity to propose on the last day before we headed out. It was simple but sweet, and I was so surprised and happy. Even though I was sick it ended up being a wonderful trip.

LOVED this cute groomals session I did the other night at Gardner Village. The couple was so much fun! We spent the whole time laughing. Seriously, the cutest together! I can’t wait for their wedding!
