I think this is my all time favorite photo of Josh! He is such a nice guy, that I love to his sly and fun side coming out. This is just an example of the hundreds of fun photos I took with my on location studio we call the “faux-tobooth”. My amazing husband helps me take my high res photos and spit them out on cute little photos strips in a matter of minutes! It’s a great way to get your guests involved at your wedding, and made a really cute guest book for Courtney. I also took tons of gorgeous detail shots of Courtney’s amazing reception at Eaglewoods Golf Course. I love her father daughter dance photos and I can’t wait to show them off. There was amazing window light since she had her reception in the afternoon. I love rocking the flash but you just can’t beat window light for amazing photos! So much to share, I’ll try and show you more from this gorgeous event soon!

I love the Salt Lake City. It has so much personality and great places to photograph. Ashley and Ian are an awesome couple. Ashley is one of my first brides to find me randomly surfing the internet and I’m so excited that she did! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in March!

It was so nice getting out of the cold Utah snow and into the warm California sun. It took all my effort to show up to the wedding and not go to Disneyland. My friends I stayed with tempted me with a free pass. But It was so much fun to photograph Courtney and Josh and their beautiful wedding day. It’s not every weekend I get to photograph such a beautiful couple on the beach. The beach was beautiful and had crisp fresh air and not the salty brine of the Salt Lake. I loved that she had an intimate reception with close friends at a beach house. I’ll have more photos from her Utah reception here in a couple weeks.
Only one bridesmaid was hurt in the making of this photo. Seriously, she is ok, but I felt so bad. Heels and jumping don’t mix.
They had to throw the garter twice. I guess a couple guys felt ripped off that the youngest bachelor caught it. But I love how happy he is in this photo.

Goodness there were so many great photos from this wedding that I finally had to give up and just post this post. I could go on forever! This was seriously such a cute couple! I loved that they had their reception in a lodge outside of Zion National Park. I can’t think of a more majestic location for wedding photos. Some of my favorite things from this wedding were her cute little hot chocolate bar, the thought bubbles, and the cute mustaches–which she gave to me! I don’t know why but anybody who holds up a fake mustache just has to make a funny face while doing it!
I was very impressed with Joel’s mad moon walking skills!

Kristan had an awesome idea to do her bridals in this old cotton mill re-purposed as a greenhouse. All of the photos were taken within the nursery’s boundary. I love taking photos in locations that have a history. Old Washington Cotton Mill was used by the early Mormon pioneers. St. George was Utah’s Dixie. Since even St. George is a little chilly in December we were happy to take some photos in a warm greenhouse! The owners of the nursery where really nice to let us run around and take photos. I think they thought we were insane for wanting to take beautiful bridal photos in a green house–it was obvious that we were the first ones to invade the nursery for photos. Thanks Star Nursery. Kristan loved the nursery’s live-in kitty. I kept worrying it would shed on her dress. The dress! But she loves cats so much she didn’t care. Later she told me her fiance was allergic to cats. Sorry Joel!

The family of this bride was so much to fun to work with. Her mom was the biggest sweetheart and her brother-in-law was hilarious. And she did have an extremely funny uncle. I know everybody has a very fun exuberant uncle–but Caitlin’s was a good sport and fun! You can kinda see how much fun they were to photograph while they danced! I LOVE my job. Where else can you make a living dancing with a camera? Take a look at all the fun pictures we were able to get at the Bountiful Temple and at the Wight House Reception Center. Kristan found me via my mom. My mom was a sweet heart and carved these for her wedding. Yes, you heard me right my mom carves for a hobby. She actually demoed power tools for a while! I just think that is so cool! Kristan was a even bigger sweet heart and let me keep them! So if any of my future brides want them for there own photo opp just let me know. More of Kristan’s wedding to come in the future. I have been enjoying my Christmas holiday a bit to much and now it’s time to get back to the photo grindstone. Enjoy this little sneak peek!
