There is something about a gorgeous couple, dressed in their best in a romantic atmosphere that makes photography so much fun! The Utah State Capitol is filled with an essence of history and romance. I love photographing their in the beautiful window light. And like I mentioned earlier having a fun and beautiful couple is just the cherry on the top of an already yummy photo shot! Yep that was pretty cheesy–but it came from the heart all the same!

Such a cute wedding that I didn’t have time to post until now. I love all the little details Jenn did to make her wedding more personal. The name and date sewn into her dress. The cute tags next to all the food letting you know who’s favorite it was. I was floored by the grooms cake made with his favorite cookies. So many good ideas!
Florist– Cindy S. Bodily and Mother of the GroomCatering– Deserts & Bread were from LeCroissant Catering, meat and pasta salad were from Debbie and Randy Heath with Bowmans Market, and the rest of the food was planned by the Bride and executed by the Brides family.
Wedding Cake– The cake was done by Granite Bakery and the first teir was a pear flavored cake with a cream cheese filling, the second teir was a strawberry lemonaide cake with a lemon custar filling, the third teir was an almond poppy seed cake with a raspberry filling and the four teir was the same as the first.
Location– If there is one thing Debbie Barlow (mother of the bride) loves other than chocolate it is a wedding! Having six daughters she designed the beautiful landscape of their home into the perfict location for weddings in hopes that her girls would have their reception there. This was the third of her daughters to have thier wedding reception at their residence.

The invitation was a three piece set. The main card was 8.38″ x 6.25″ 2 ply ivory paper with a taupe ink and a geranium red painted edge to invite our guests to a wedding reception held the evening following the marriage. The second piece was a 4.88″ x 3.5″ ivory with taupe ink invitation for a wedding dinner following the wedding ceremony. The last insert was a 6.25″ x 4.25″ invitation with geranium red ink on ivory paper for the marriage ceremony at the Salt Lake Temple.

It was a raining day but it turned out beautifully! Thank you Latter Day Bride for publishing Carson and Orrin’s Draper Temple wedding! I love how creative Carson was with so many of her wedding details. Her guest favors where some of my favorite from the last year. She did the state flowers from her and Orrin’s hometowns and then gave the seed packets to guests to symbolize their love growing together. Just too cute! Also the broach on her bouquet was the one piece of jewelry that her grandmother left her. I love when there is back story like that. So many great photos I hope you enjoy!
Here’s the vendor list.
-bridal party attire – up to the person (dresses were in khaki and tan colors with gold or tan shoes), groomsmen were left to their own style as well, more blues and khakis as well as greys) – Orrin was in a grey suit from Indochino – seaglass cufflinks from etsy.com
-florist – Blossom Sweet (Melissa Nickle)
-catering was done by Marvellous Catering Co (we wanted a home cooking, southern, outdoor feel…gourmet burgers, potatoes, mini pies, pulled pork) it was perfect
-best part of the evening was seeing everything come together 🙂 everyone worked so hard in putting the centerpieces and vignettes together and it looked better than what I had imagined – it was the perfect evening and best party ever with my family and close friends
-special details – the wood pieces that Orrin’s grandfather had cut down from cedar in Arizona made the centerpieces, the whole look and feel was rustic and natural, the perfectly place wood pieces and the succulents made the backdrop complete for the little accessories
-cake was done by Cakes By Dawna – flowers were put on by Blossom Sweet
-event designer/planner – my mom and I planned it all 🙂 from the table linens, to the accessories, the candles, the vases, the pictures…she was in Indiana and I was out here in Utah and I am so glad it all came together (Wadley Farms assisted with the setup of all the tables)
-Hair – Hannah Carr (Jenna’s cousin – Jenna was the bridesmaid with the white tulips and the white/cream shoes, dark brown hair) Makeup – Jen Gulbrandsen (Jenna’s brother’s girlfriend)
-Decor – my mom found vases from thrift shops, wood pieces all cut from Orrin’s Grandfather in Arizona, all other accessories were found at thrift shops as well by my mom and myself
-favors – I really wanted to keep with the nature them, since that is me and Orrin, I also wanted to bring the Indiana/California aspect together, so what better way than state flowers!! I came across seed packets that were a hybrid of a peony and poppy…peony – state flower of Indiana and poppy – state flower of California, perfect combination! my mom made the wood sign that explained them a bit more
